
“Herban Vegans was born from a personal health journey — and from being a lifelong lover of food. I was raised in a large family where everyone was welcome at the table, along with our friends and neighbors; that's just the way it was. This was the norm: the more the merrier. And the food always satisfied! Those were the same flavors that I strived to recreate in my own kitchen. The ones that kept people coming back for more.
But when I began looking for plant-forward options for myself, I found very little that felt desirable at the level I was used to. Too often, it felt like food designed to fit a label rather than food meant to be enjoyed by everyone at the table.
I didn’t want food that felt separate. I wanted food that could hold its own — balanced, layered, and crave-worthy.

What began at a family table grew quickly through demand.
Weekend plant-forward brunch (VRUNCH!) collaborations at a local jazz café sold out consistently. Expansion into Findlay Kitchen followed, where market weekends continued to sell out. Within six months, Herban Vegans transitioned into a brick-and-mortar location and operated daily for several years. Which led to our curated catering services.
